Getting started with YRIS
Welcome to YRIS your all-in-one platform for managing supported accommodation, staff HR, policies, daily logs, assessments and compliance.
This guide will walk you through the first steps you need to take when starting your new YRIS system.
Whether you're a Registered Manager, HR lead or System Administrator, this section will help you understand where everything is and what you should set up first.

What You Need Before You Begin
Before logging into YRIS for the first time, make sure you have:
- Your YRIS business URL (example: yourcompany.yris.cloud)
- Your temporary password
- Your organisation’s letterhead file (for branded PDFs)
- Details of your first property (address, occupancy, etc.)
- A basic list of the staff who will need access
- Your preferred form group (if you know it)
- If you don’t have your login details yet, your onboarding manager will supply them.
What Happens on Your First Login
When you log in for the first time, YRIS will guide you through three quick steps:
- Change your password
- Create a PIN number
- Set your digital signature
These steps ensure your account is secure and ready to use for logging, signing assessments and approving forms.
Once complete, you will land on the Dashboard, where you can see your homes, reports, tasks, assessments, policies and upcoming items.
Your First 10 Steps in YRIS
We recommend completing these in order:
- Add your first property
- Change your password / PIN / signature
- Check your form group is correct
- Create policy categories
- Upload your policies
- Enable forms
- Enable digital signatures
- Upload your letterhead
- Create roles
- Add your staff users
