First Login – Password, PIN & Digital Signature Setup.
First Login: Password, PIN & Digital Signature Setup
When your YRIS system is created, you’ll receive an email containing your unique YRIS URL and a temporary password.
Before you can begin using the platform, you’ll complete a short first-time setup process to secure your account and enable key features such as signing logs and assessments.
This guide walks you through what to expect and how to complete the setup in just a few minutes.
1. Use Your YRIS Login Link
Your welcome email includes a link like:
yourcompany.yris.cloud
This is your organisation’s private URL, you will log in here every time.
Tip: Save this link to your browser bookmarks for quick access, or apply this URL to open up every time you open your bowser.
2. Enter Your Temporary Password
Use the temporary password provided in your welcome email.
Click Log In to continue.
3. Create Your New Password
For security, YRIS will immediately ask you to create a new password.
A strong password should include:
- At least 8 characters
- A mix of letters and numbers
- A special character (recommended)
Once updated, your new password becomes your permanent login password.
4. Set Your PIN Number
Next, you’ll be asked to create your PIN.
Your PIN is used as a quick security confirmation for certain actions inside YRIS.
- Choose a PIN you can remember easily - 6 digits.
- Do not use obvious numbers like “1111” or your birth year
- Keep this private, do not share with other staff
Your PIN helps ensure logs, reviews and secure actions are completed only by you.
5. Create Your Digital Signature
Finally, YRIS will guide you to create your digital signature.
This signature will appear on:
- Branded PDF reports
- Daily logs & other forms you choose.
- Assessments
- Form reviews
- Incident reports (if enabled)
Type your name and choose a signature style best suited.
Note: If your organisation enables digital signatures later, you won’t need to repeat this setup, your signature is securely stored.
6. Access Your Dashboard
After completing password, PIN and signature setup, you’ll be taken directly to your Dashboard.
From here, you’ll see:
- Daily logs
- Reports
- Upcoming assessments
- Tasks
- Property documents
- Residents in/out
- Budgets
- Missing or incident reports
- … and more, depending on your role.
7. What You Should Do Next
After your first login, we recommend moving straight to:
- Adding your first property
- Uploading your letterhead
- Configuring your form group
- Creating roles and users
- Uploading your policies
All of these steps have their own dedicated guides in the Getting Started section.
